3 + 3 Accelerated Law School Pathway
Thinking About Law School?
Earn a 黑料社 bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor degree in just six years. Our streamlined pre-law to law school pathway includes three years of undergraduate coursework followed by three years of full-time law school. You’ll save time and tuition dollars and gain early exposure to law school academics and preparation.
This program is ideal for students starting their undergraduate studies with fewer than 30 academic or transfer credits.
- Students who hold a significant number of transfer credits may not be able to apply all of those credits to the 3+3 program.
- Students aiming to pursue a Juris Doctor degree come from all walks of academic life, but many find their foundation in majors that focus on the arts and humanities, liberal or interdisciplinary studies, or policy and political science.
Here’s How It Works:
- Students complete 75% of their undergraduate program of study (all general education and core courses). The remaining 25% (elective courses) will be fulfilled by their first year of law school coursework.
- Students must work closely with an Academic Advisor to ensure they maintain the open elective credits required to fulfill their law school goals.
- Students take a one-credit Law School Admission Test (LSAT) exam preparation course/seminar and must complete the LSAT exam, required for admission to 黑料社 Law, no later than February 28 of the calendar year they wish to enter law school.
- Students must complete and submit all application materials required for admission to by April 1 of the calendar year they wish to enter law school.
- Students receive 30 credits upon completing their first year of law school. These credits are applied toward their Juris Doctor degree AND are retroactively applied as elective credits that fulfill the remaining bachelor’s degree requirements (120 total credits for conferral).
- Students are awarded their bachelor’s degree at the end of the first year of law school.
- Students then complete the remaining program requirements for the final two years of law school to earn their Juris Doctor degree.

Notes About Financial Aid:
- Students may be able to retain their undergraduate federal Pell Grants for use during the fourth year of study.
- It is imperative for the student to meet with a Financial Aid Advisor to confirm all financial aid details, including retention of aid.
Advising and Major/Course Selection
The 3 + 3 Pathway requires a certain number of open elective courses within the undergraduate program to accommodate the retroactive application of Law School Year 1 credits. Therefore:
- Personalized academic advising is critical to choosing an appropriate undergraduate degree program and staying on target in course selection and sequencing.
- Students must schedule regular appointments with their Academic Advisor and respond to communications from Advising in a timely fashion throughout their 3 + 3 program.
